Joseph Grassi, Solicitor Director

Joseph was admitted to practice as a solicitor in 1977. After completing his Articles of Clerkship with Messrs. Gordon L. Beard & McDonald, Solicitors in Sydney, Joseph continued to work for that firm until Christmas 1978.  In January 1979, Joseph commenced employment with A.S. Lamrock & Son as it was known then as an employed solicitor and became a partner on 1st July 1980.

Joseph was the head of the Property, Commercial & Revenue Law Division.  Joseph’s area of practice is in domestic, commercial, and industrial conveyancing and development, commercial leasing and Land & Environment, commercial, business, health and tax law.

Joseph provides legal advice to private and corporate clients in relation to residential, commercial, and industrial subdivisions and strata developments and issues relating to environmental planning and assessment, joint ventures and financial structures of developments. He also advises his clients in asset protection strategies including Estate Planning and Administration.

Penrith is home for Joseph and his family, and he has a keen interest in the area and a desire to see it prosper. Joseph was a member of the Sydney West Area Health Service Research and Ethics Committee, a member of the AustLaw executive, a Director of Syd-West Personnel Pty. Limited and Vice-President of the Penrith Valley Chamber of Commerce Inc.

In 2011 Joseph was appointed to the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District Board and he is the chair of the Finance and Performance Committee of the Local Health District. Joseph is also the Chairman of the Nepean Blue Mountains Education and Medical Research Foundation Limited which is a charity established to provide fundraising services to the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District in particular in the areas of education and research.  The Foundation’s major initial fundraising effort is to assist with funding the construction and establishment of a purpose-built research institute in the grounds of the Nepean Hospital, Penrith.

Joseph is an Accredited Specialist in Property Law and has been since 1995.  Specialist Accreditation is a structured peer to peer assessment process enabling legal practitioners to be recognised for their expertise. To be accredited, specialists must pass a series of meticulous assessments on both legal knowledge and its application in practice.

In an effort to further increase his skills, Joseph completed a Master of Laws degree at the University of Western Sydney in 2000.  

Joseph has been a Notary Public since 2004 and is a past member of the Property Law Committee of the Law Society of New South Wales.

In 2008 Joseph had a weekly legal segment on Tim Webster’s Afternoon Show at 2UE where he commented on legal issues raised by listeners to the program.

Joseph commenced practice on his own account on 1 July 2008.

Grant Wiblin, Partner

Grant was admitted to practice in December 2015 and worked with a top-tier Australian law firm for over 5 years. He has had extensive experience in the areas of litigation, environment and planning, intellectual property wills and contested estates, family provision claims and family law. Australia’s largest banks, ASX listed companies and numerous state and federal government departments and agencies have had the benefit of Grant’s advice.

Grant thoroughly enjoys working with small businesses and individuals as he has a real passion for helping people and he has a great understanding of the community and its needs.

Penrith is very familiar to Grant, as he completed high school at Penrith Academically Selective High School and was elected school vice-captain by his teachers and peers.

Law and Social Science are degrees to which Grant has been admitted from Macquarie University. In his Social Science degree, Grant majored in Anthropology. Grant has also been awarded a graduate diploma of legal practice from the Australian National University.

In his spare time, Grant loves to watch any sport but mainly AFL, NRL and cricket. Grant is an avid marine hobbyist and enjoys maintaining a marine aquarium and snorkelling and playing with dog Luna (if you are lucky enough, sometimes you may encounter Luna in our office!). Grant also enjoys travelling the world with his wife and would one day love to make the trip to Antarctica.

Wendy Harvey, Licensed Conveyancer

Prior to joining Joseph Grassi + Associates, Wendy Harvey gained her property law experience working for a National Law Firm for over 10 years.

During her time with that firm she was provided with the opportunity to advance from a legal assistant to a Licensed Conveyancer/Team Leader. Wendy completed her studies in Conveyancing Law and Practice at Macquarie University in 2010 following which she obtained her conveyancing licence.

Wendy commenced her career in the legal industry in 2002 and has remained in the industry since. As well as conveyancing, she has gained experience in the areas of Family Law, Litigation, Probate, Wills and Management. She has excellent customer service and communication skills.

For her whole life, Wendy has lived in Penrith. Wendy enjoys spending her free time with her husband and two children, going on camping holidays, 4WD driving and walking the dogs. She also enjoys taking on restoration/renovations around the home and catching up with friends.

Wendy is a Licensed Conveyancer and Electronic Conveyancing Accredited.

Lois Grassi, Office Manager

Lois Grassi (affectionately known as “Miss Moneypenny”) has been with the firm since its establishment.

As the Practice Manager, Lois is responsible for the administrative and financial management of the firm. She brings with her to that position many years of practical knowledge and experience.

Part of Lois’s responsibility is to ensure that the firm’s financial targets and objectives are met, and she attends to clients’ financial dealings with the firm. She also manages the Firm’s Trust Account and Controlled Money Accounts and the firm’s compliance obligations.

Lilly-Rose Saliba, Law Clerk

Lilly-Rose is currently undertaking a double degree of Bachelor of Laws/Bachelor of Social Science (Criminology). During her studies, she has received commendations on her outstanding academic achievements, including being named on the Dean’s Merit List and being selected to undertake a multidisciplinary Research Scholarship.

Lilly-Rose is a Law Clerk at Joseph Grassi + Associates, and joined the firm in November 2021. She works closely with the team by providing legal support across a range of Litigation, Probate, Property, and Estate and Succession matters. Lilly-Rose is passionate about law and is committed towards developing her legal and practical knowledge across many practice areas.
